Customs clearance is the legal process that lets your cargo leave an Egyptian port. Every shipment needs papers, a product code, and a decision from customs before it can go. Hendy handles that process for importers and exporters at every Egyptian port.

A clearance file usually moves in four steps. Your documents arrive. We register the shipment and assign the right product codes. Customs reviews the file and may inspect the cargo. Once customs is satisfied, the shipment is released. Each step depends on the one before it, so an early mistake can slow the whole file.

Import shipments need a commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading, and the papers that prove payment, such as Form 4. Export shipments need their papers ready before the vessel sails. A missing export paper can hold the whole shipment at the port.
